Thanks to this fourm I have found relief!!

Post by sleepycarol » Sat Sep 29, 2007 8:59 am

I want to express my gratitude to everyone on the forum that takes the time to answer questions, give support, a shoulder to cry on, a place where we can laugh, and most of all CARES about our treatment!!

Many people, at least in my limited experience, do not understand the seriousness of sleep apnea. They don't understand all of the complications that go along with it as well. It is not a matter of not sleeping more (don't we all know that ) but better!!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!! It has made my treatment more successful as I am committed to making this work!! It isn't perfect yet, but with your help I can get there!!

I'd like to DITTO that, Carol!

I can not imagine trying to weed through all the ins and outs, and ups and downs of sleep apnea, without the help of all the people on this forum.

And thanks to our host for allowing us this support group. It has been about the only good thing in this whole experience!

I learned more in a few short months on this board than I learned in my 6 years of xpaping and relying on my doctor and DME. My eyes were opened so to speak.

I think we should rename it "sleep suffocation syndrome." This has the same meaning, but no one pays any attention to the "apnea" and what it means.

A new slogan "Sleep suffocation syndrome: It's way more than just snoring."

I agree. From what I learned here I determined that what the VA equivalent of a DME told me about APAPs was a load of crap. He was a very nice guy and appreciated the fact that I was monitoring myself and was impressed with the progress I have made, but he just didn't understand the benefits of APAP, and wouldn't even think about getting me one. I guess I'm just going to have to start looking for a used one.

CPAP therapy is so easy you can do it in your sleep!

Hello All!

I'd have to agree. Learned a lot in these few weeks I've been here. I'm always learning something. However, still have a long way to go.

thanks again!

I agree: Software and reader, YES! I couldn't do this without these tools.
