For a forum of sleep deprived people, we get along well
I was thinking as I read through some posts, that for a forum made up of people who get less sleep than average, we aren't that crabby. I participate in other forums for IT topics and cars and others and see a lot more bickering among posters. This forum must bring out the best in everyone.
What can I say? Misery loves company. And when and if we are really feeling sorry for ourselves it only takes reading 2-3 threads to find someone worse off than we are and that helps us feel better. The old "there but for the grace of God" bit.

The other thing is that there is a lot of sharing of information on a subject that's hard to find info on.
And also it's nice that while this is hosted by a "commercial" concern, they dont edit the posts that contain links and references to other merchants.
(that being said, I also have to say that the purchases I have made from out hosts have been great, fast, and the one where there was something missing, they shipped out the missing accessory the next day. So like everyone else, they aren't perfect, but they make correcting the error painless. So kudo's on their customer service as well)

I totally agree! Lately I've been getting much more sleep, and had a few nights where I was up in the middle of the night - like you - and I agree, I'm so much less crabby because the quality of sleep I do get is wonderful.RosemaryB wrote:... OK, I woke up at 3:30 a.m. and could not get back to sleep so I thought I'd post something here. I'm sleep deprived, but since the quality is so good, I'm no longer as crabby as I once was.

By the time most of us discovered this forum, we were too tired to fight.
That's how we've learned to measure the success of our treatment; when you have enough energy to start a good fight, then you're doing something right.
But then, everyone's happy for you, so it's hard to fight (who can fight and laugh at the same time?).

That fits me. If I had more energy I would be much more pugnacious. .j.a.taylor wrote:By the time most of us discovered this forum, we were too tired to fight.

...........
Some years ago when my son and daughter were small, they and my wife all caught a very bad flu with high fevers at the same time. My wife was very sick in the bed for 5 days. She made up the sleeper sofa in the den as a bed and let the two very sick kids stay in there all day long watching tv.
I remember calling her on the fourth day around lunch time. She was still in the bed very sick. She told me that about 10 a.m. she could hear the two kids in the sleeper sofa start fussing at each other and this had been going on for two hours. She figured they were getting over the flu.
Sure enough, when I arrived home that night the kids were in their separate rooms playing. It took another day for my wife to recover.
