I called my doctor and told them that there was no way I could go from a set pressure of 8cm to a bilevel pressure of 20cm/16cm. At least not without going completely insane! They agreed and are faxing the order for an autopap.

Yay! Hopefully, I'll get the treatment I need finally.

Photogal, this is the Dr. I go to that I recommended a few months ago to Nentex. I'm glad he is once again proving my faith in him as patient oriented and progressive in treatment. He told Jean right from the get-go he would let her try or prescribe an autopap if she wanted instead of the bipap.

Whats the difference between autopap and bipap? Not familiar with autopap!

Janelle, I'm surprised this whole forum isn't funneling to your doctor by now!
I'm glad my pressures are low with my BiPAP because it works fine for me.
I'll leave the explanation as to the difference between BiPAP and auto to some of the more experienced and knowledgeable, as I am entirely too new to the whole issue.

notbigenuf, you probably have already found the info you wanted, but if not...click the word CPAPopedia (I know... "Definitions" would be a word that would make it clearer just what that button will do...heheh.)
