Using APAP as CPAP to Seal Leak

I expect this isn't very original, but I don't recall seeing mention of it here. Although my S8 AutoSet Vantage is setup for APAP, I temporarily changed it to CPAP with a start pressure of 12 and ramp time off.

I then set about adjusting the mask placement on my face along with headgear tension under actual pressure conditions. Contrary to admonitions not to tighten one's mask too much, I found that a pressure of 12 requires some hefty restraint to keep the mask from becoming an amusing projectile.

One could continue with this kind of testing for the effects of side pressure on a pillow and other sleep configurations.

After resetting the S8 to APAP I couldn't help but think how worthless the DME was and how useful knowledge about the forbidden Clinician Menu is.
