Hi, I've been on cpap for about 4 months and am finally adjusted to it to the point where I keep it on all night. Up until about 2 weeks ago, I woke up feeling refreshed and great. Since 2 weeks ago, I've been inexplicably exhausted, not just when I wake up but also all day. It's like I"m not using the cpap at all! Do I need to get my air flow adjusted, do you think? I also have seasonal allergies and have been more congested at night and am careful to take the decongestants and use my cpap humidifier so my nasal passages don't get dried out. All other things being equal, nothing else has changed in my routine. I'm wondering if my exhaustion is due to allergies, or whether I'm managing to snore and defeat the air flow because of mouth breathing. Does anyone know? I can't go on like this, I'm falling asleep at my desk at work! Thanks.
Laura

Hi Laura,
Members can help if you post some more information: type of mask, type of machine, pressure settings. This is best entered into your profile.
Also, which decongestant are you taking?
With more information our members can help you get "sharpened".

I too, would bet you use a Nasal mask and are leaking the pressure out of your mouth. Some day a DME will figure to warn people he giver the nasal masks to (because they are cheaper), about the fact that if used incorrectly they don't work.
