Are you on any medications?

A cure for tiredness

Post by John_M » Mon Aug 27, 2007 7:23 pm

Well I have found a kind of solution for my tiredness problem but its not one I recommend for others. I went and got a major foot surgery and am not supposed to put any weight on my foot for six weeks. So I lie on my bed most of the time and because I am lying in bed, I don't feel tired!!!!

So the tiredness problem has gone!!!! Voila !!!!!

Lots of good advice in this thread. To summarize so far and add a few possibilities:

Other sleep problems: Ineffective CPAP therapy, RLS/PLMD, narcolepsy, alpha-wave intrusion, etc. Sleep hygiene issues.

Lifestyle: Diet, lifestyle, fitness. Sleep hygiene (again).

Medical maladies: general health and hormones.

Psychiactric/Psychological issues: depression, anxiety, bi-polar, etc. Stress, abuse, etc.

Medicines: Hundreds if not thousands of different medicines cause sleepiness, and some can be exchanged for something equally effective that won't exacerbate daytime sleepiness.

Good luck finding the right tools to solve your concerns.

BEEN USING MY CPAP FOR 5 MONTHS, NOT AS TIRED, MY BLOODPRESSURE EVEN WENT DOWN, HAD TO BE TAKEN OFF OF HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE MEDS, BLOOD PRESSURE DROPPED DANGEROUSLY LOW, ADMITTED TO ICU, FOUND THAT THE CPAP LOWERED MY B/P AND COMPOUNDED WITH B/P MEDS TO LOWER MY B/P, THINGS GOT DANGEROUS! BEST TO TAKE B/P TWICE A DAY, AND TALK TO YOUR DOCTORS...WE TAKE A SUPPLEMENT NOW AND OFF ALOT OF THE MEDICATION, I'M FEELING GREAT, AND I WORK CONSTRUCTION!

FATIGUE, MY WIFE HAS A FERRITIN OF 3, DOCTORS ARE SHOCKED AT HER ENERGY, AND HAVE TESTED HER OFTEN, ....SHE AND I TAKE A SUPPLEMENT NOT SOLD IN THE STORE....IT'S GREAT STUFF AND DR'S ARE AMAZED AT BOTH OF US! THANKS TO OUR FRIEND SUMI! IF YOUR INTERESTED IN THE SUPPLEMENT LET ME KNOW.

MY WIFE IS ALLERGIC TO B12 SHOTS, SHE SEE'S A HOLISTIC DOCTOR, AND THEY HAVE PUT HER ON L-GL FOR HER ABSORBTION OF NUTRITION. WE ARE EXCITED TO SEE HER LAB RESULTS TOMORROW!
IT HAS BEEN AN INTERESTING RIDE, I RETIRED FROM THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORP AND NOW I'VE GRADUATED TO A CPAP, LIFE COULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN BETTER!
