often and for the same reason.

I don't see filters mentioned here in the topics. I know that all machines run better when filters are cleaned. I clean mine once weekly and I can see a difference when I go any longer than that. How often do you change your filters?

The need really depends on your environment...

I change -- that is wash -- once a week and the internal (small particle filter) get thrown out every two weeks - but then it outer surface is gray, but the inner is still white. When we had sandstorms I changed the internal more frequently.

I swap out the outer one and wash the old one once a week, let it take that week to dry thoroughly. I throw out the inner one once a month. Seems to work well.

I wash the foam filter weekly and replace the fine filter monthly during the winter months. I have to replace it weekly during the summer due to the large amount of pollen in my area.
