This happen to anyone else?00

Post by davjan4 » Sun Aug 12, 2007 9:31 pm

I had anindex of around 10-12 last year. I decided after about 6-8 months, to try a Somn-Med dental device. Watch-Pat results (three seperat studies) showed that my index went UP to 33!!. I thought dental devices where supposed to inprove apnea.
I paid $2000 for that thing, and the dentist felt so bad he refunded my money. I was his first failure (out of 60 placements).
Has anything like this happened to anyone else??

Several posts on this forum report failures with dental devices. My dentist tried to get me to buy a Mandibular Advancement Device, insisting it would cure my OSA. I very firmly told him I ONLY wanted a mouthguard to protect my teeth from grinding. He left the room.

But the hygeinist fit me for the device.

You have a great dentist that he's refunding your money. Count your blessings!!!

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)
