aussie heated hose...how long does it last?

How often do you need to replace the Aussie heated hose?

I've had mine for almost a year with no problems. I know of other forum members who have had them longer, also with no problems.
I have mine hooked up to a timer. It goes on at midnight and off by 8a.m.
