I just bought a Respironics M Series Bipap Auto with Smartcard, and would like to read the information on the smartcard myself, using my computer.
What software, cables, readers, etc. do I need to do this?
My computer has a reader that will read a variety of common flash memory cards. Is the Smartcard a specialized card that can only be read by a specialized Smartcard Reader, or can the Smartcard be read by common flash memory readers (SD, XD, Memory Stick, etc.)?

You need this smart card reader:

The bad news is, the software is hard to find because Respironics has decided they only want to sell it to doctors and DME technicians, not end users. Unless you get lucky and find somewhere still selling it, your best (legal) bet is to watch EBay for a copy of Encore Pro to come available.

The software is a bit tricky to find as many vendors have been having to pull it off the market. Perhaps someone will PM you with an online site where it is still avaialble and not post it here so that the evil-doers don't have more sites from which to pull it off the market.
The card reader you need can be purchased online from Hong Kong

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Smartcard software & reader
Thanks for the info.
I just remembered that I have an old Olympus Digital Camera that used Smartcard Media Cards and I have the reader for those cards -- could that be the same as the Smart Cards in the Bipap Auto M?? I'll check it out.
Now to do some searching for Encore Pro on the web.....

Re: Smartcard software & reader
No. The Respironics machines only use ONE type of "Smart card" and the reader for that......the MAKO/Infineer DT3500.marose0001 wrote:Thanks for the info.

If the card doesn't look exactly like the one below and doesn't have Encore Pro on it.....it won't work.

As far as the software goes, if you're using the MS Vista operating system, you'll need version 1.8i. If you're going to stick with the XP OS, you only would need the 1.6i version.

I got mine from two-factor and it works fine. Do NOT fall into the trap I did. It must NOT be used with a hub. It will corrupt a known good working smartcard. If this happens you will need to go to: http://www.cpap.org and get Phil's Card Utility to save your card.DreamStalker wrote:
