Okay....call me weird

I've been really excited about the new Resmed Quattro full face mask. It's just that it's so dad-gum expensive.......and my DME hemmed and hawed about ordering it but offered to give me another Ultra Mirage full face.

Well, I got on e-bay just for grins and saw one for sale. I started bidding and won it! It was the craziest thing but it was really kinda exciting as I watched the minutes tick down! (I know I've got to get a life) I would have loved to have given cpap.com the business but I just couldn't swing it financially.

Anyway, just wanted to share this with the forum!

Congratulations on your win! I know that feeling when you bid on something and watch it until it ends. I keep refreshing the page to be sure I don't lose it if I REALLY want it. However, I am NOT one of those who will pay more for it than you can get it somewhere else. I tried to bid on Garmin handheld GPS units a few years ago at Christmas. I saw people paying way more than you would at Walmart. I contacted one of the winners and asked them why they would do that. I got no response.

I am with you Jeannie. I bought a RESMED hybrid on ebay and I received it today, I am very happy since I only paid $76 plus shipping. And that is the second mask that I get thru ebay, the other mask was a Ultra Mirage full face. I just don't pay retail any more.

I have been using the Q for a couple of months now, and I am afraid that I will never go back to another mask.

Just a small correction: The Hybrid Mask isn't made by ResMed. It is made By Teleflex Medical/Hudson RCI.

ResMed DOES make the Liberty, a fairly new entry which is quite similar to the Hybrid in many respects--and most different from the Hybrid in that it has no chin flap--which a number of forum members have cut off.

The one I got was the Resmed liberty wich is a hybrid, just like the other one. I used the term to describe the type of mask it was, not as the model name. I didn't mean to cause any confusions.
