Hi , I use both the Ultra Mirage FF mask and the F&P FF flexifit. I use both almost every night, first one, and then the other. I can usually get one to seal for a while, then when it starts to leak a bit, I put the other one on and it seals for a while. If I am lucky, I only have to change once during the night!
I was fortunate in that my DME RT helped fit them and fix the head gear which made a tremendous difference in the leaking.
I don't find that the flexifit closes my mouth. I breathe through my mouth and if it closed my mouth, I would be in even more trouble! I find the flexi fit to be much more comfortable than the Ultra Mirage, but on the other hand, I think it needs a higher pressure to get the same result as the Ultra Mirage.
Hopefully you can get help in fitting and fixing the head gear! That is of tremendous help.
Good Luck.

I got so upset that I threw my mask.
I mean this thing is so bad. I should write the company and demand a different one or something.
This mask is totally unacceptable..

I know there are a lot of posts on taping for mouth leaks but could you tell us your method for mouth taping?

Hi SleeplessinKC,
I tried my hardest not to answer your post, but resistance was futile.
I have tried both the Ultra Mirage and the F&P FLexifit 431 full face masks. In my opinion the Ultra Mirage was horrible, leaked constantly, made loud noises and was a bad mask. FOR ME!!!
I much prefer the F&P FlexiFit 431. Some MINOR leaks, but nothing anywhere near as bad as the Ultra Mirage. The 431 is much quieter than the Ultra Mirage, and more comfortable because it isn't pushing on the indent between your lips and chin like the Ultra Mirage. It rests snugly (but not tightly) UNDER your chin for a much better seal.
As always, it depends on one's facial structure. Judging from your avatar you might want to consider some sort of device to plug into the open receptacle on the top of your head which would pump air directly down through your brain (or should I say, your portion of the collective brain) and into your airway.
Just a suggestion.....
