"Secret" menu on my Resmed Auto S8 Vantage

Post by TIGMONSTER68 » Fri Jul 27, 2007 2:40 pm

Hi all and HAPPY FRIDAY!!
Well it's going on a week for me and I would LOVE to see some data but I have NO idea how to get to any of the info that you all talk about on here like AHI and leak rate and yada yada......
I would love to see something other than the 4 things I know how to look at which is settling, hours used, days used, and I think some sort of serial number....pretty exciting if you ask me....I'm ready for MORE!
Would someone be able to tell me how to access those "secret" menus I've been hearing about....
Thanks and to all a wonderful weekend!
Jodie

Hold down the right arrow button and the down arrow button at the same time for about 5 seconds. The "secret" menu will come up.

Push the right and left buttons together. Hold for three sections. That will get you to the efficacy data. Hit the enter. Go with the up and down arrows to get to all that lovely info about your sleep.

I keep all of it on a spreadsheet and tracking it. It is so interesting to me, but then ,I am a musician. Simple beats fascinate me.

I'm glad I'm not the only one keeping track of it on a spreadsheet. I felt so geeky!

Tigmonster, when you look at the date after you get in to the efficacy menu, the first thing you will see is your air pressure (if you have it in auto mode). You can also see averaged weekly, monthly, etc. data by pressing the far left button.

Just make sure you check the efficiency data as soon as you wake up. The previous nights information disappears at noon (or 11am depending on machine settings) when the machine resets. The weekly and monthly are still great information. The machine will automatically average all that for you.
Caution! I brake for Elves, Fairies, Gnomes, Leprechauns, Unicorns, Dragons & and other invisible creatures only I can see!

A query about the pressure data when the machine is set to auto. Is the number shown the average pressure, the highest pressure, or something else?

It means you spent 95% of the night at or below that pressure. It isn't the highest pressure you attained that night, nor the median average pressure.
