What came with your Quattro??

Post by bookwrm63 » Tue Jul 24, 2007 3:34 pm

I just got a new Quattro mask from my DME. When I was in for my fitting, we tried the SM and XS sizes. I fitted at the XS but they didn't have a new one in stock so it was ordered. It came today in two plastic bags with Resmed cards inside that say Components/Spare Parts. One had the mask itself and the other bag has the headgear. There was no travel bag, no fitting guide, no dvd. At the DME, they had all that packaged if I took the Small. When I called them, they said because I was not a new client, I didn't need the whole setup. I said I felt I needed the fitting guide and dvd and I would like the travel bag. She said it normally doesn't come with that but she would check and let me know tomorrow.
I just want to know what everyone else got when they got their new Quattro.

Thanks!

Mary

Mine came in an unopened bag. (I've gotten two) Included were:

CD on how to fit
user's guide
sheet with lot number, etc.
Carrying bag.

One came with the elbow assembled, one it was just floating in the bag. But they both came completely sealed!!!!!!!! As all my masks have come from Resmed and my DME -

Perhaps they gave you a demo?

My DME lets me try on masks and when I decide on one, she goes into a closet and comes back with one in a sealed bag.

That is strange.....

My Quattro definitely came with a travel bag and it is very handy. Resmed may have different pack ups based on where you buy it from though. Probably don't but they might.

Sleepy,

Mine did come in sealed plastics bags, it's just that's all that came. She actually did go into the store room but they didn't have an XS in stock. I just wanted to see if everyone else got the complete package as far as fitting guide, dvd, travel bag.

I really like my DME and we have a good relationship but I just don't get this. I will follow up with them tomorrow.

Thanks!

Mary

That's odd - IMHO any new mask - whether you've tried it once or a hundred times, should come complete - but maybe that was the quickest way to get it to you.

Mine came with the travel bag, the DVD and the fitting stuff and instructions. Since I am a new patient, I was glad to get all the paraphernalia. But my whole setup came with all sorts of bags to travel with. But then, I like a new clean notebook every fall, even though I have not been in school for 20 years.

The bag and the dvd and such are the same no matter what size you have....so you can tell them to give you the one that came with that small and give someone else the mask without the bag and other extras. Even if you are not a new patient....that mask is new to you. It should be complete. It sounds like they just ordered 2 seperate replacement parts rather than just order the entire mask with everything included. Either that or kept the other supplies for whatever reason. You should have everything.....that is what your insurance paid for.
