How many of you are 100% compliant?

I nod off every once in a while in a chair, but it's only for about two minutes now. Before cpap it was more like two hours, and waking up every few minutes. I don't ever lay down for any sleep without the hose. I opted for the second slot on the poll, since I do sometimes nap without it but as I said, very, very short naps.

track, what you weren't seeing on the data were the number of events the machine prevented from happening during the naps when you used the machine.track wrote:I tried it on a few naps and only found a few HI were taking place so I don't use it then.
When the machine keeps apneas and hypopneas from hitting you, you're naturally going to see pretty clean results.

100% compliant - including some short naps where I "achieve" the otherwise impossibe - and AHI of 0 - doubtlessly due to the machine.

And now here is my secret, a very simple secret; it is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.

OK, I should have read the posts before voting. I've missed one night in the last 6 months (and paid for it the next day). I have napped on car trips when my wife was driving without CPAP, but usually use it when napping at home. And I was only resting my eyes in church. Honest!

Never attribute to malice what can be adequately explained by stupidity.
I guess I'll be the first non compliant one to confess and it does feel like a confession. I seem to take mine off in the early morning and go back to sleep without it. It is now a habit. I actually slept 5 more hours without it this morning which shocked me since I don't normally sleep that long without little wakeups.
I think what happens is that I sleep so soundly now that i am too stupid when I get up for bathroom breaks to just leave the mask on and disconnect the hose. I take the mask off and then when I get back to bed i am too tired to clean what I know will be a mask full of cat fur so I just leave it off. I would have to turn on the light and find my glasses and that is just too much trouble. If I am with it enough when I wake up for the can i will leave the mask on.
Before cpap I didn't feel as groggy as i do now.

compliance
I am 100% compliant. I don't take naps but if I did I would use the CPAP.

Every night, every nap. I was without my CPAP for 5 days while it was being replaced (thanks, cpap.com!!!), but other than that, 100%.

100% compliant -- which, quite honestly, really surprises me. I think somebody struck the fear of G-d into me about the potential consequences of skipping treatment.
I'm cat-sitting at someone else's apartment right now, and after I arrived here I realized I'd forgotten the little plastic hose adapter that fits on my machine when I use it without the humidifier (I was trying to travel light, so I left the humidifier at home). I discovered this around 8 p.m., was dead-dog tired with sore feet, and for the first time I actually contemplated skipping for one night -- but I just couldn't do it. I spent the next 2 hours going across town and back just to get that little piece of plastic so I could sleep "safely" that night.

I'd be really curious to see the results of this same poll taken by people who don't have the support of this forum. I bet it would be way lower for compliance.
What kills me is when I first got my machine my Doc told me I only needed to use it 4 hours a night. At the time that sounded great, now that I'm educated on the matter its scary that he told me that.
