I am wondering if a lab rate with a zero residual leak rate is willing to do an experiment to see how residual (accidental) leak rates affect treatment.

My request is for a lab rat with a mask which fits perfectly try doing something for a night (or week) which creates a leak of say 20 liters per minute. Maybe loosen straps or something.

Then after a time ( maybe as long as a night or week ) with a deliberate leak report what the effect was , i.e.

1/ Did AHI go up or down significantly?
2/ Did energy level next day drop appreciably?
3/ Did lab rat feel more tired?

If some-one was willing to try this, they would get the appreciation and respect from those of us who still have slight leaks and don't know how important it is to try to fix them.
