sore throat

woke up today with a scratchy throat and post nasal drip, any suggestions, dreading going to sleep tonight!

Also, if you are using a nasal only mask, be aware that you may be leaking out your mouth. That will also cause the symptoms you describe.

I keep my humidifier at max and that is where i am most comfy. Have to refill it each night.

Even if you don't use all the water in your humidifer, shouldn't you dump it out and start with fresh each day? My DME told me that water which sits will collect a lot of bacteria which could cause an infection.

jen I use a umff so I don't think I'm mouth leaking I also use a homemade chin strap because as my mouth would drop open I use to leak around my chin it's definitely post nasal drip because it goes away for a minute if I cough or snort, yuck.

I like to change my distilled water everyday because I keep it in the refigerator I like the cool air I get when falling asleep

Many of us "oldtimers" seldom change the water. Just top it off when it gets low. Rested Gal and I are among the oldies. Obviously speaking of cpap use, not age. .........
