Non Custody parent's deserve equal time with there children and equal right's.
You are going through stressful times, that causes changes in our lives. Using a nasal mask you may be mouthbreathing, if you don't take steps to stop mouthbreathing. That's something to look into. Best of luck on a new job you like. Jim

You are most likely depressed, and understandably so. Be sure you are eating properly, staying hydrated, AND exercising (walking will do). Do you have a friend/minister you can talk with? As a last resort, talk with your physician about an antidepressant short-term, but I would try the other things first.
Good luck.

John,
You had some big stress in your life, accompanying your start on CPAP therapy. Upcoming wedding. Job loss. Loss of CPAP machine. Wedding. Job interviews.
My guess is that your body is trying to heal, and now that some of the big events are past, it's crashing. I don't think I'd worry too much about it - YET. Try to cut yourself some slack where you can, and channel your energies toward your new marriage and your new future job.
Good luck,
Cathy

Be sure your staying active too ~ energy begots energy and if youve gone from working all day to getting little excercise you will surely fall in a fatigue slump. Make sure your getting that heart rate up for a good 20 minutes everyday and try to stay active.
Other then that are you monitoring for leaks that would be the only thing I could think that would be CPAP related is if your leaking or mouth leaking or breathing.

Could it be that being a stay at home parent is more stressful and tiring than most jobs outside the home?
There is no doubt in my mind that my brother was discouraged and frustrated during the periods when he was out of work and a stay at home dad not based on choice.
I know that, for me, my frame of mind and emotional state have a big impact on the quality of my sleep, so your therapy may be working just fine, but other issues (frustration, anxiety, etc.) are keeping you from achieving restful sleep.
I hope that your leads pan out and that returning to work resolves your sleep issues.

While nothing's impossible, some things can be highly improbable. I doubt that your CPAP or mask have chose this particular time to fall apart and let you down. Much more likely it is the stress and the worry what w/no job, job leads pending, family .....john44077 wrote:Hello everyone. I have been on cpap 13cm since March. Have you ever used a sleep aid of some sort? While it sounds like you are putting in longer bedtime most likely the stress is interfering w/your sleep. Something as simple as Tylenol PM or 0TC Bentyl might just relax you enough to let your CPAP and mask return to doing the good job they had been doing for you.
Good luck getting some restful sleep again, on the job leads and God bless.
