Great reading. Dr. Bronner's was the soap-of-choice in college. Both for the price and the great reading material.

But do you have indoor plumbing in flyover country?

I grew up in Northern Utah. When I was at college in Olympia, we got snow a couple of times. It was this icky-sticky stuff. I'm such a snow-snob.

Doug.

GO HOME TO UTAH! DECREASE TRAFFIC ON I-5!

Just kidding... Couldn't resist.

This Dr. Bronner's stuff IS NOT CHEAP! I cannot imagine buying it when I was poor in college. I think I settled for stealing bars of Ivory from my employer...

LOL,
B.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

If you're trying to get rid of me, try again. I don't drive. So Nyah.

We do now! Seriously, there are probably a few homesteads who still don't, though. We were here long before you west coasters ever got where you were going.

The first home my parents bought in 1977 did not have indoor plumbing. We added on a bathroom and kitchen to the house before moving in. My Dad never knocked down the outhouse because he didn't want the trouble of filling it in. Boy was it spooky and stinky the couple of times I got up the courage to sneak a peek!

But what do I care? My ancestors arrived in the new world around the turn of the 20th century from Germany.

You coastal folks can laugh at midwesterners all you want, but we don't have the traffic or the smog and I can buy anything you can on the internet.

Hey Jen, I buy most things on the internet because the traffic is such a nightmare to navigate...

My folks live less than 5 miles from me. It takes 30 minutes to get there. Stupid red lights...

OKIES! LEAVE! GO TO CALIFORNIA! YOUR NEIGHBORS LEFT IN THE 1930'S, WHY DIDN'T YOU?

Yup. My ancestors schlepped to CA via HITCHHIKING to get out of the Dust Bowl. With three little kids, no money, and no food. Very sad story. Very sweet story - they were picked up by a serviceman who found them in the Mojave Desert. Drove them to Bakersfield. Grandpa ran inside to get some money from his father in law (who'd gone out west earlier) for the guy, and when he returned, the man was gone. God bless that man, wherever he is!

So, I do LOVE Okies. I just prefer them as expatriates.

LOL,
B. - Former Okie

Yeah, I think he might have been a wacko! The weird rants on the soap are proof of that! But he made a lovely line of soaps.

I'll have to look for the program on Sundance just for curiosity sake.

Ivory soap is safe to use and available nation wide. I use liquid Ivory on my mask and get great results. It was recommended by the manufacturer.
