I went to the DME yesterday for a new mask. I am currently using the Mirage Activa and it is working well but thought I would like something a bit smaller. I came home with the Optilife and this morning I checked and I had 0 apneas and .02 hypopneas last night using the Optilife. I have it on a two week trial.
Two different techs there discouraged me from the Soyala Nasal saying it was a piece of junk. One suggested the Profile Lite Gel Mask. From all I've read here everyone seems to like the Soyala so were the techs just steering me away from the Soyala because of money reasons. My insurance pays the same for all masks I think. Any help appreciated.
Optilife vs. soyala nasal
The Profile Lite is considered by many to be the "piece of junk". And several members like the Soyala nasal mask. I would go with that one.
If you are new to cpap therapy, be aware that a major mouth leak with screw up your AHI results. Make sure you aren't mouth breathing and enjoy whichever mask you end up with.

I use the Soyala, and IMO it's the BEST quality mask I've ever used.
I would be very suspicious of anyone calling a Soyala mask a "piece of junk"
If that were the standard for junk, then all cpap masks are worse than garbage.
