Clearing data out of M-Series Machine

Post by Nurofen » Fri Jun 22, 2007 7:12 pm

Hi

Does anyone know how to clear off the data in an M-Series Auto machine? I'm talking the measures the machine calculates daily and displays, not the card, a different story.

Reason I'm asking is because I've just started using a new mask and I want the machine to start measuring the stats on it's performance, not combine it with data applicable to the old mask.

Many thanks.

same method as entering Setup, hold down the arrow keys <- -> while plugging in the power at the back, wait for 2 beeps or 4-5 seconds then release.

Press the -> arrow key to navigate to the Therapy Menu, hold down the (-) minus key for 4-5 seconds, all values should zero out. Press the On/Off button to exit Setup Mode.

someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

Pull off the electrical connector where it goes into the machine. Then, while holding down both arrow buttons, reconnect it. You'll hear a double beep and then several seconds later a single beep. That will put you into the setup mode where you can make changes on your pressure etc.

Hit the left arrow button 7 times and that should take you into the Therapy hours screen. Then depress and hold the "-" (minus) button for about 5 or so seconds until the therapy hours kick back to zero. That should do it for. Let me know if you have further questions.

Hi, I'm back again.......

Now that we've sorted out getting data OUT of my machine, I need to know how to get it back IN!!!

I've noticed that after a night's sleep (or arvo nap etc) that it takes to the next night for the previous night's data to drop in. Now, I do unplug my machine any time I'm not using it, so this may be the reason for the delayed response. However, I have tried keeping the connection and noticed it still takes about 12 hours before the machine updates with new data.

Is there any method I can use to get new sleep info to update quicker than "the next night"???

Thanks again!

...mmm isn't the instructions for getting into the machine still up ^ there?

if you are wanting to get into the setup, instead of pressing the -> arrow key to navigate to Therapy screen, you press (+) key instead of -> arrow. It should say "Setup" on the LCD.

Not sure I made myself clear.

I followed instructions of deleting all data out of my machine - that worked great.

Now, what I find is that after a sleep, my machine will not update that sleep's data until about 12 hours later.

My question is - can I speed that up so I can access the data quicker?

Sorry for any confusion.

The only way you can your info more quickly is to use the card and card-reader. and Encore Pro software. I believe the machine is setup to not let the info appear on the LCD screen until after that designated period. Just have to be patient...

I believe you will also find the info on the LCD is not close to being accurate. It seems to be hit and miss. To really track your progress you do need the card reader and software.
Good luck..

ddpelp is right. At least in my case. The info on the LCD is nowhere near being accurate. Also (in my case) the software or bipap (one or the other) routinely looses data. Wish I had never heard of the M-series. There is no really good way to keep track of your progress.
