The "M"agic Plus, needs no card, it doesn't collect any useful data. Jim

Hi I am also using the remstar plus cpap. I was wondering if you are having any problems with the machine? Mine is not registering therapy hours. Thanks ! Kim

No Problems with my machine

Post by Mark_Ferman » Sun Jun 17, 2007 8:49 pm

I am having no problems with my machine. It seems to be working very well. I would like to know if there is any series of button clicks that will give me more information about what is going on. I do have a card and the DME sends me a new one each month and sends a SASE with it for me to send in the old one. I am about to get my next card and was going to send the card back and request the reports back. So far the DME has been great, but I don't know if I am going to have any trouble with this request.

If so I will ask my doctor for it (that is if HE even gets the reports! haha).

But again, no trouble and it clearly shows the therapy hours being used.

If you are using the "M" plus as your profile shows, The "M"agic Plus, needs no card, it doesn't collect any useful data. Jim

It only has compliance data, the number of hours used.

yes john, I am very unhappy, My machine is not registering therapy hours. I gave up wearing it last night because i feel like Im not getting any use from it. If the therapy is not registering I guess its not doing anything. When I put my mask on I don't feel like air is coming in but when I take it off I feel the air. I have just about given up.

If your machine is not registering therapy hours you need to insist that the DME replace it. Not using it isn't going to help. You do get used to the air pressure and may feel that you aren't getting anything from it, but you are.
It's good to know the numbers, but it isn't absolutely needed to get good treatment. Keep using the machine, be 100% compliant. It takes time but you will see results.
