3 weeks in...no better. Thoughts?
I began CPAP therapy 3 weeks ago using the Remstar Plus with Cflex and the nasal aire II nasal prongs. I have adapted to the prongs well and sleep through the night with no snoring. My pressure is set at 10, which they tell me resolved my apnea/hypoapnea during the titration study (albeit with a different mask). My AHI during the first study was 65 and 83 during REM sleep. Any thoughts on why I still feel so crummy during the day????Thanks.

Lots of possible reasons.
Are you getting therapy? - IOW, is the mask leaking? Are you opening your mouth and letting it out? It is possible but not as likely, that you were titrated too low also.
Have your sleep habits changed? - Some folks sleep a lot to try to pay back the sleep debt, but too much sleep can leave you feeling sleepy too. Others found they have more energy and then go to sleep much later, also not good for sleep hygiene.
Do you have other medical problems? - Often folks with OSA have other medical factors. It is possible that your residual sleepiness is not from OSA and from something else.
A lot of folks have said that they really didn't notice the change as it was very gradual. Have the circles under your eyes started to fade? Do you find that you don't nod off as much? Sometimes people expect a miraculous overnight change, and unfortunately that doesn't occur with everyone.
The big thing is to stick with it!! It does get better!!

How many hours are you sleeping? At first,7 months ago,I would only sleep 4 hours,or 5 maybe, but it was deep sleep, and I saw some immediate improvement, now some nights,I sleep6 to 6 1/2 hours, which is really great for me.Even though sometimes I feel sleepy or groggy all day after a good long nights sleep.
I don't nod off talking to someone,yes I did that,or driving,yes I did that.
So,stick with it,everyone's body reacts differently, and takes a while to start new sleep habits.
Good luck,and keep perservering.
