Adam's circuit

Post by Sleepdeprived » Fri May 18, 2007 6:17 pm

I am trying to find some information about this mask.

It seems to be an older but still very highly rated mask but
it is little used

What is the scoop here?

Is it a good mask for a first timer ?

Its minimalist design appears intriguing

I used one about 8 years ago. I found it painful and bulky. Maybe the designs have improved... But if you're looking for a minimal nasal pillow type solution. maybe consider a Mirage Swift or a Respironics OptiLife.

I currently use the OptiLife and I've been 100% compliant with it.

Hi Wog

I was thinking of something which does not touch the face

comfort lite II, Adams circuit and Twilight np

fall into that category

Thanks for your feedback on Adams circuit

Other than a nose mask for a couple of days, the Adams Circuit is all I've used for the last seven years. Other than a leak rate that might be a little high (they didn't do much leak testing when Adams came out, I gues) I like mine. Replacement parts are cheap and it is easily adjustable.

Try it, you might like it.

Get large or ex-large pillows if you are male. The smaller ones will tear up the inside of your nose.

My fav nasal mask is an Adams ckt but I did some mods to it to bring it into line with its 1st prototype (which suits my face well). The later model had an angle piece tha slants the pillow base at too great an angle.

Good luck DSM
xPAP and Quattro std mask (plus a pad-a-cheek anti-leak strap)

Sleep deprived,

Some time back someone poste a photo of an adams cckt mask complete with mods to make it easier to wear.

Do a search with adams circuit as the search arg - the post would have been about 5-6 months ago. There probably aren't many threads on this mask.

Good luck

I haven't used an Adam's Circuit but I can highly recommend the Twilight NP.

Hi Blarg

Is that a modified or unmodified version ?

I used the Adams Circuit for a couple of years. However, I switched
to the ComfortLite 2, in early 2006. The "TwiLite", and the CL2, along
with the "Swift" are just improved Adam Circuits. The CL2 and the "TwiiLite",
are both major improvements on this theme.

I think you may find that many who are happy with either the CL2 or
the "TwiLite", have modified them..

I found the Adam Circuit to be less stable than it's spin-off (the Breeze) ... but it is an OK mask. Also, the CO2 exhaust port is very loud (loudest of all of the masks I have tried ... about 8 or 9 of 'em now).

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

I think the Breeze is the improvement on the Adams Circuit. I find it more stable, and less leaky than the CL2 and OptiLife that I tried.

It's hard on the nose, but it works better.

It's so stable, I don't even tighten the halo straps. I have them just barely tight and it stays put. I can wear it with or without the chin strap and still get good stability and very low leakage. And I'm a side sleeper that likes to toss back and forth.

Cheers,
B.
