AHI-how do i measure up?

Post by silverde » Wed May 16, 2007 11:56 am

I just figured out how to read my AHI on my machine last night and this morning it said AHI-3, AI-0 HI-3. I assume this means i had an average of 3 hypopneas an hour. And i feel about as crappy as one can feel and still be alive... is this significant enough to cause this (if indeed the machine is accurate) or not? Curious because i see that alot of of others are worse. Also would my machines low pressure setting interfere with its ability to detect WHEN im having a hypopnea. As if the pressure doest get low enough to read my stopped breathing?

PS thank you all so much for your previous replys to my posts. This is new and very helpful to me!

From what I keep hearing that means your treatment is effective and that anything under 4 or 5 is great, but maybe some wiser heads will jump in here and let you know.
