I realize this mask gets spotty reviews, but I seem to have located one at a low price, and being intent with trying every mask known to man, I may get it.

I haven't received the calipers from HR, but I used the measurement guide at http://www.cpapxchange.com/cpap-masks-b ... echart.pdf, and I measure right at 5", maybe a tad more. That would be a medium.

I'm a confirmed medium in the UMFF, CF2, and Quattro. Do any HR users know if a medium in those masks suggests a medium in the HR?

Thanks.

I would go with the large using your measurement of 5 to 5 1/4.

Also make sure that the headgear is the gray foam version and not the mesh cap.

Remember a medium is equal to a large in other masks.

I agree... get the medium (the large is REALLY BIG) and stay away from the mesh head net. Good luck with it. I never could get the HR to work for me... very few ever have.

Thanks for the feedback. Somebody bid that sucker up to $90, not much less than I'd pay at our host. I would do better buying it here and just paying my 20% deductible.

Please, remember I did not bid on it.

I use the mesh headgear and I like it because it does not mess up the hair.
I do not like to wake up with my hair not looking like I just paid to get it done.

I like my Han Rudolph but I did have to go down to the extra small even though I measured for a small. The small was way too big and it leaked around the eyes. With the extra small their are not leaks. The only thing I have a problem with are the that vents kind of point up to the forehead. It feels like a leak but is not.

I know what you are talking about with the vent holes.
frete50, do you have the six hole vent or the four hole vent? The four hole vent does not give out that blast of air and is more subtle.

I have a large HR 7600 and it didn't work for me so I went back to my tired and true FP431. Spent $200 for the HR and used (attempted) it only a few times. Spent allot of time fooling and modify the mesh head gear. Will sell it for $75 minus the head gear. I understand a new design style head gear is available for HR.

Sharon,

It is a newer version with four vent holes. Still blows pretty strong. But I would not trade this mask for anything else. It has been the most comfortable. I did have to get the grey headgear as the mesh one would not get small enough for my head.

The other masks I have tried are the Hybrid (hate and would love to get rid of - it is an older version), F&P 432 (gave to another member), UMFF (Small Standard and Shallow). The standard does not fit my face well (I have high cheek bones and a slightly large nose). The shallow fits okay but could never get the forehead pad adjusted. Removed the forehead pad and ran the headgear through the piece that holds it to the mask. I wear that one during really humid days and the silicone of the HR feels too suffocating.

I use the petite since the others are way to big for me. A small head gear came with it and I know it is way to little for me.
I use the large mesh headgear and I am fine. it adjusts to the right fitting for me. The sad part is if a sized headgear is not specified, you will get what the company thinks you should have based on the size of the mask and not the size of the head,
I am coming do for a new mask and I am going to specify the size of mask and the size of the headgear. That should give me everything I need.
