Well it has been a year since i started CPAP, it has been a year of ups and downs.
I just had my 1-year checkup with the sleep doc. I have put on weight and he wants me to have another titration study.
My original perscription was for 10/6 BiPAP.... well in september I kinda altered the setup since i had a BiPAP Auto with BiFlex. I changed it to 14/6.5 with bi-flex and auto on.....
before i had an averag AHI of about 2.0 with a snore index of 99.1
since then my AHI is down to under 2.0 and the snore index is down to like 30
I just cannot see spending the money for a sleep study, when i have a machine that auto adjusts and i have the data from encore Pro too.
Should I have another study done, my insurance will likely pay for most of it; or not
I will say that i am feeling fine, 100 times better than i used to be.
1 year later..... the checkup

oh i know why i am putting the weight on.
No excercise, i sit in a chair all day and snack while i am tied to the phone. Then i come home and sit on the computer.
I have gotten the forms filled out to be able to join the fitness center at work. I have heart problems, so my doc has to sign off on me joining the fitness center.

What do you think your doctor would say about climbing stairs? I started walking stairs in my office building in January. It is free, no membership dues, no wait for a machine, etc. Started out very light and have been working my way up in terms of the amount of time since then. If possible try to convince someone from your office to go with you (there are about five guys in my office that go). At the very least do any exercise with a cell phone, just in case.
