Vista/EP/EPA . . . grr. . help

Post by Tkuentz » Sun Apr 29, 2007 7:07 pm

I have Vista, v1.7 Encore Pro and JSkinner's Analyzer. I got all programs to work together on my daughter's computer which runs XP. However, I want it to work on mine. (Her's is too slow!)

Blarg was extremely kind and helped me with the card install issue with Vista. It now works. Encore Pro now works. I then installed EPA and it gives me an error of "log-in failed with user . . . " The user name was not given and it is different than the SLQ server.

I have seen this referenced in other posts, but with v 1.8 of encore pro. Has anyone come across this problem and is there a fix or what did I do wrong?

Just to clarify in case it's not clear, the problem is only with EPA. Encore itself works just fine.

Yes, Encore Pro works now (BIG THANKS BLARG!) I edited above post.

New Edit: Thanks to JSkinner, now EPA works! Had to change Encore Pro to v1.8 and then Analyzer to open under "administrator".

Thanks Rested Gal, Blarg and JSkinner . . . may your kindness be repaid a thousand times!

I wish I had better info for you! I installed, uninstalled, reinstalled so many times I lost count. I know I had to let the programs install in the default directory. Encore Pro had to be installed 1st. Then I rebooted, installed Analyzer. Rebooted. Tried to open analyzer and it said only administrators could open. I then right clicked properties on analyzer and gave myself permission.

I had been messing with these programs for hours and honestly, was so tired. Good luck.
