The Encore Pro software v. 1.8.49 does not erase the card automatically after you download the data. It prompts you whether you want to leave the compliance data intact.

I could be wrong, but I thought 1.8's installation default is that the card's data will be erased automatically with each download...just as it's always been for previous versions of Encore Pro unless a setting is changed.

I thought you have to do the following after installing 1.8, if you want to make the data remain intact after each download:
Go to Preferences - System Settings, and click the little box for "Prompt to 'Keep Compliance Data on Smart Card after Download' after a download."

After you do that, then yes, it will prompt to see if you want to keep the data on the card after a download.

Thanks for all of the helpful suggestions. I downloaded the driver from Two-Factor and everything works perfectly now.
