As for the under the nose rub, you might go to Wally-World and to the sewing area. Get you some commercial grade (better sticky stuff) velcro. Then go to the remnents basket and find a small piece of fleece material. Take these home and cut a piece of fleece large enough to pad the area under your nose. Sew the hook side of the velcro to this fleece (cut the velcro just a tad smaller than the fleece piece. Stick the loop side of the velcro to the plastic part of the mask that rubs. Shazam! You now have some soft padding that should relieve your stress.

Does anyone have a problem with the plastic part of the mask under the nose? It really irritates me the way it touches my face between my nose and upper lip. I sometimes pull it away from my face so that it's not touching, but it's kind of hard to hold it and fall asleep at the same time.

I'm thinking I might have to do some engineering this weekend. I'm very inspired by the others here who have posted their modifications.

One thing I like about the Optilife is the fact that the angle of the pillows is adjustable. I've been able to find an angle that allows the pillows to fit my nostrils without touching my face.
