Last night I fell asleep for two hours off my Apena machine. I was very tired and did the "I'll just rest my eyes for a second" and woke up, then I stayed up for a while, went back to bed, and got about 3 or 4 hours of sleep.
Now today, I haven't had ANY sleepy spells. Usually around 12 - 3 PM I start getting really tired. However today I only had some mild sleepy spells, nothing very serious at all.
I wish I could look at my data lol, this is quite puzzling to me
Could it be the fact that it's very sunny? Or is there a chance that I had a really awesome 3 or 4 hours of sleep? Will I probably crash when I get home?
Weird and Very Energetic Day?
Brackstone,
This brings up something I've been wondering about. Can a person have apneas in only certain sleep stages? Could you have apneas only in REM sleep, in which case you could pass the first few sleep cycles apnea-free? If this were your case, it would explain your "phenomenon". I'll be watching to see the responses to your post - very interesting!
In any case, I hope you have a GREAT DAY!

Tangents,
It's interesting you mentioned that.
The sleep study results were explained to me that I was prevented from Entering REM I believe.
They basically told me, and now I wish I remembered, that I only had Apneas when I hit a certain stage of sleep.
They said that it explains my mental foggieness and achey bones and the feeling like I'm always running on adrenaline. They said that if I was missing out on the other type of sleep it would be a lot worse.
Something to that effect, I guess I'll ask them for a copy of my sleep study and post it on here.

Surpsingly my doctors office was very polite about me getting a copy of my study. They said just come over and sign a release.
I'm also getting another copy of my Medical Alert Card since my old one is out of date.
My new one says Auto Bi-Pap 5 Low 10 High.
I'll try to pickup my report on monday and scan and post
