Boise DME and doc
My sleep doc is Dr. George Lyons, he is a neurologist associated with St. Als and he is very good. When I had trouble with my first mask he actually chided me for waiting a month to call him. He said he would write me a new prescription until I found a mask that worked.
I have had good luck in the past with MedNow on Franklin, just west of Curtis although I now purchase my supplies on online. I have also used Norco for a couple of things. They are not as good as MedNow but they are ok; they just don't seem to keep a good stock of supplies such as replacement nasal pillows. I never had that problem with MedNow, in fact when the the Aura (Headrest) mask first came out and was not widely known, they ordered it for me as soon as I requested it. They then asked for my opinion about it so they could pass the info on to other clients.

I went with some outfit from Hailey that performs the sleep studies in a local hotel. They're not the best, but they are the cheapest show in town. They also got me in for my study in less than a week. All other sleep labs had a 3 month waiting list.
They're the ideal route if your on (steps up on soap box) the absolutely useless health insurance offered by BSU (steps down from soap box), and you already know you have sleep apnea and are just in need of a diagnosis and prescription.
The name of the outfit escapes me, I can find it if you need.
I haven't dealt with any DME's in the area. I went straight to cpap.com. I had already sold my beloved Triumph motorcycle to pay for the ordeal, I wasn't about to part with any more than I had to. Turned out, cpap.com and this great forum were all I needed to get cracking. I feel f%$#ing great.
One thing I can tell you for sure, is that the best advice and guidance in the Treasure Valley isn't in a doctors office, it's a click away in this forum.

Just my 2 cents a year later in case anyone new is looking up Boise. The MedNow on Franklin was horrible to deal with. They canceled my appointments several times and wouldn't talk to me unless I had an appointment. They never have anyone in the office who knows anything when you call or stop in. When I had trouble with humidity no being high enough with the mseries and a ff they told me to go on a trip to Oregon coast to feel better. The Namp office is much better they gave me a differnt machine HC608 and got me set up. Had to go to Norco for the mask since I wanted to try the Hybrid and it works best for me after Mednow insisted it wouldn't fit and made me try every other mask they had even tigtening them so much they hurt and left marks after just a fitting. The other Mednow locations seem to also be very un organized you cna't get them to call you back and they cna't seem to make appointments and keep them. Anyone know where I should go if my insurance lets me move to another provider?
