Really BAD night

Post by TiredMommy » Fri Apr 13, 2007 11:36 am

Well, I had a really BAD night last night. I couldn't get my FF mask to stop leaking, so at 2:00 a.m. I switched masks and went back to the ResMed Nasal one. I fell asleep FINALLY, but woke up feeling awful. UGH! The reason I switched to a FF mask was because of mouth breathing, so I think that I did that most of the night. Anyway....

So, any tips on getting my FF mask to limit leaks? I did alot of things for about 2 hours and never got it just right. It was really frustrating.

Waiting to feel better,
Julie

Hi Mommy,

I had the same problem for a while.

When I was using my UMFF this is what did.

1. Loosen all the s traps.
2. Lay Down
3. Tighten the stop straps to stop the eye leaks
4. Tighten the bottom straps to stop the mouth leaks.
5. Turn my head all the way left and right once and compensate for any leaks.
6. Goto sleep

In the end I ended up taping my mouth and using my Nasal Pillow as my Uvula did not agree with all the forced air going over it
