Resmed S8 Elite mask settings

Hello All.
Can anyone tell me what difference the various mask settings on the S8 Elite menu make? I have a Swift mask and my machine is set to Swift, but what actually happens in terms of machine function (if anything), with the various mask settings?

Not much ... the settings are designed to automatically subtract out normal CO2 exhaust of the specific ResMed masks ... so that a leak value of 0.0 means that the mask worked as designed without any additional leaks.

On a Respironics machine ... one has to subtract the normal exhaust rate from the leak value to get the equivalent value on the ResMed machines.
