SLEEPTRACKER WATCH

Post by elliejose » Mon Apr 02, 2007 4:59 pm

Has anyone invested in a sleeptracker watch yet? Does the data mode give how much time you spent in each of the sleep stages? I'm not sure how accurate that would be tho if it just goes by the movement of your arm. Let's hear from anyone with experience.

Looks interesting and maybe fun...Here is a review I found. Is it a hoax? Who knows. It's also available on ebay.

Watch to wake up easier

Post by kteague » Mon Apr 02, 2007 9:27 pm

Was doing some reading about this watch and read mostly fairly decent reviews, but a major complaint was that the company did not divulge how it works. One reviewer said based on his personal research (testing it at home) it is motion based. The idea of not being forced out of a deep sleep sounds appealing.

Also read that Axon Labs is coming out with an alarm gizmo with a headband (like we need another band around our head) using neuroreceptors and a stand-alone unit that receives the transmission. Will cost $300-$400. Depending on what info it outputs, this really interests me (like I could really afford it!). I wonder if the next generation or so of this technology will be even better and more economical?

Maybe I'm just more in tune now, but it seems like I'm seeing more home-testing items. When reading about the sleep apnea strips, I saw some sticky pads that monitor leg movements overnight. Who knows what all we'll be able to do at home in the near future, but the down side of that is who knows how accurate their results will be.

What is the price at e-Bay? Any cheaper than the given URL at $149? Not a particularly impressive guarantee but ....

James, how are you doing. Has the swelling gone down any more? Are you any more comfortable?

James, I saw your post and I added a comment - and questions, of course.

AND - FINALLY - in the dim recesses of my boggled mind I DO remember reading about this SleepTracker watch now. Too bad I hadn't worked harder, longer so I could afford to just try one as a new "toy" (if it isn't any good).

grrr this site logs me out every five minutes

i had one, returned it. wayy too quiet to hear, and didn't help me personally one bit. good idea, but not sure how well they can track it through your skin... that and it needs a vibrate feature instead of an audible alarm.

i didnt find it useful at all unfortunately.

Could it be http://www.axbo.com/axbo/cms/cms.aspx?CMS=wfUser_axbo?

This thing is the real deal. It was hard to get (at the time they didn't sell in the US), it was really hard to sell the wife on it, and it cost as much as some CPAP machines. When combined with an APAP, it's simply amazing. If anybody should have the opportunity to try this or the sleep tracker, I'd go for it. You might be very surprised.
