Switched masks today

Post by cletourn » Fri Mar 30, 2007 6:41 pm

My old nasal mask was putting too much pressure on my upper lip and teeth and my teeth were aching all day. Today my dme recommended I try a swift nasal pillow system Tonight will be my first night.

He also said I need to start using a chin strap as my snoring through my mouth is contributing to my high leak rate.

But the good news is that on the whole he said I was doing much better and my numbers showed dramatic improvement. I had brought him printouts of my last months reports and he laughed at me and said..."I hope you did not buy your encore pro software, I could have gotten it for you free!" Now he tells me!!! AARGH!

Good luck with the new mask! If the chin strap doesn't work you may need to tape your mouth shut. The chin straps don't seem to help too many people.
And CONGRATS on your good numbers!
