Wow posting worked this time! I've had my first CPAP for a month, been through three interfaces before finding one that finally seems to be working OK for me. I have learned quite a bit from reading on this forum but for some reason it kept giving me error messages when I tried to post. I did get in briefly on one live chat.
I found several CPAP forums when I was desperately looking for help but this one is by far The Best for information and help. Thank you for being here.
This week I have finally reached the point of if I fall asleep with the CPAP on, I am able to sleep all night and keep it on. Seems like I sleep too long though. I am having problems of not falling asleep at what I consider a reasonable hour (before midnight). This was happening before the CPAP, so it doesn't seem to be connected to the machine use.
My doc gave me some samples of Rozerem to try and it is helping me get to sleep a bit earlier now. And until today, when I awoke, I still did not feel rested but instead extremely fatigued. But this morning I woke up feeling better and I am thrilled.
I have the RemStarPro M Series machine set at 11, with humidifier and am using a nose pillows interface called the Tiara. (I call it the Elephant's Trunk lol.) I started out with a much lighter nasal pillows but couldn't make it work for me. The second time around I had a gel mask and it made me break out in red welts on my cheeks lol. The current interface seems to be working out for me but it has taken me two weeks to get there.
Once again, thank you for being here!
