This entire thread is preposterous and shameful.

Since when did we become a mob???

If you're so concerned about this fella's possible alterior motives, be curious about the unknown number of company shills that frequent this board (maybe under widely respected usernames that are, in fact, company "franchises").

Instead of running someone off who might have something to offer or who might enjoy something we have to offer him/her, why not just GROW UP and realize that the rule of the day is CAVEAT EMPTOR?!

Instead, we celebrate an instance when we've run someone off? Shameful.

I must disagree with you as well, Chuck.

An important point here concerns integrity. Arteecat continues to demonstrate a pattern of dishonesty (BTW, tracking his IP shows that he lives within a stone's throw of that CPAP supply company, so it's pretty much a lock who he is and what his motives are). In other words, what we have here is another lyin' sack. And I think that it's important that everyone realize that before they send their MasterCard number to him, or buy stuff that turns out to be junk and are looking for recourse.

I agree, but when you see someone walking about to fall down a manhole, the right thing to do is warn them, and I think we should thank CG for doing just that.

Yes good job CG. This is a well worn tactic dating back to the early usenet days. It is also not uncommon to see another not so well known poster support the troll. I used to frequent the Mandrake Linux forums and some of the antics of the trolls were unbelievable to say the least. Too bad there isn't the ability to just plonk or killfile posters like this on web based forums.
