Anyone who can give me some advice, I'd greatly appreciate it. I just got an Opus the other day and can't for the life of me get it to seal. I tried the medium pillows and they're too small for my nares. Tried the large ones and the left pillow keeps popping out of my nostril. Then, when I think I have a good seal, I turn the machine on and "hissssssssss." Air shooting out from the back of my nares. I really really want this mask to work. I tried a swift this week and it was fine, but too loud. The Opus was incredibly quiet. I just find it hard to believe that I can't get a seal with it. I have large nares, but they can't be so large that large nasal pillows are too small. If anyone has any ideas on how to get this thing to work, I'd greatly appreciate it. Also, no matter what I seem to do, I can't seem to adjust the angle of the pillows and holder at all. No matter what I do with the headgear, it always sits in the same direction. I remember reading someone on here saying the pillows had to be in a position parallel to your mouth to work great. I dunno, I'm just hoping I didn't waste $110. I would understand if it were uncomfortable and I didn't like it, but for it to not work at all, I find that really hard to believe.

Try tying a bit of dental floss around the base of the pillows, drawing them ever so slightly closer together it worked for me. No leaks after that! Can't hurt....I feel as you do--this *should* work! I've had to order a heated hose, since I had too much rainout w/ my Opus.

I know this will sound counter-intuitive, but try the small pillows.
Also, make sure that your Opus is laying flat on your upper lip. I found that when I angled the Opus up somewhat, I could not get a seal.

Buy a new hat, drink a good wine, treat yourself, and someone you love, to a new bauble, live while you are alive... you never know when the mid-town bus is going to have your name written across its front bumper!
I took my Opus to a mirror and placed it on my face, as Will suggests and with straps loosened. With one hand hold the mask securely in place on your cheeks and tighten straps with the other hand. Do not overtighten, but they should be snug. Go to your bed and hook up and run at full pressure. Adjust straps again if needed.
I tried this method for fitting and it worked the best. However, the angle of the nasal pillows towards my face is too much and I get leaks above my lip, no matter what size.

Hey Will, I tried the small pillows but they end up creeping into my nose which is uncomfortable. I'm gonna try the dental floss thing. We'll see what happens.
