Oily skin ?

Post by Woody » Mon Mar 12, 2007 5:31 am

I am a 57 year old male type 2 diabetic. I started using a REMstar M cpat
with a full mask about 6 weeks ago. I feel better than I have in at least
10 years. But I noticed a week or so after I started using the cpat that my
face is VERY VERY oily sometimes getting in my eyes if I don't wash my
face more than twice a day. Any idea what could be causing this?

I notice mine too. What's your humidifier set to? If you've got it higher then 2 you might be getting some rainout - condensation inside the mask. I use mine on 3 or else I wake with a sore throat but I know to expect to have to wake up at least once and dry my face. The trade-off's acceptable to me as I usually have no problem dropping back off to sleep from that but if I wake up with a dry throat can be up for a bit coughing.
