Heated hose

Post by bigcat » Wed Mar 07, 2007 7:54 pm

trying to decide on the heated hose/ I was not able to fine the website, http://www.www.sleepzone.com.au/ seems to be down. Do they still sell it?

My problem is with dry mouth. Does anyone sell it in the US? What to do, I just want to sleep a little better.

Thanks

bigcat, the way you typed the URL in your post here...is that the way you were putting it into your browser? If so, you were typing www twice.

Try it again with www just once.

Nice catch rested gal. That was the problem. I had found a link here, clicked it, then copy and pasted the url from the browser that gave me page not displayed. Must have added an extra www when I clicked the link in a post. Thanks.

I think I am going to get one, if you think it would help with dry mouth. The ability to turn up the humidifier may help.

I am confused about the internal pressure line. http://www.cpapusa.com/search.php?search=heated+hose is what is confusing me. I wish cpap.com had them. Anyway, is this site better to deal with than the Australian site? I thought it might be a lot faster shipping.

Thanks for all your help.

I think most of us use the Australia company because they were the first to have it. They are very nice people, and it only takes 8 days from Australia to the USA.

The warm air actually might dry your mouth out further, other than you can turn your humidifier up higher.

Do you have dry mouth because you are mouth breathing? Is so, you need to address that problem.

You don't need the hose with the internal pressure line unless you have a Puritan Bennett machine like the 420E autopap.

I was going away on holidays for a week and didn't feel I needed my heated hose so before I left I tried one night with my old hose. Guess what? I definitely wanted to take my heated hose and I did. Only problem? I left the adapter behind for my heated humidifier so I did make out OK as the hose heated the vapor enough.

Thanks for all the help. I ordered one from the Aussie guys.

I don't think I am a mouth breather. My leak rates are always great (low). I quit smoking Three Months, Fifteen Days, 16 Hours and 19 Minutes (105 days) ago, but who is counting It did get much better after quiting smoking, I only drink about half a 16oz bottle of water per night instead of 2 full 16 oz bottles.

If I still have problems after the heated hose, I will investigate the open mouth issue.
