Hi everyone,
I just got my new Comfort Curve in the mail today from my DME and I have a couple of questions that hopefully somebody that uses this mask can answer. The picture brochure that came with it is pretty worthless, but I think I got all of the pieces in the correct places. I turned on my cpap and it felt like a hurricane was brewing, but after a few adjustments the mask fit great. Here are my questions:
(1) There were rubber covers on the cheek pads, and 2 sets of blue foam rubber pads on a punch out sheet. Which ones do you use? I took off the rubber ones and replaced them with the foam ones and it's comfortable like that but I don't want to be a goofball and use the wrong thing.
(2) I have a Resmed S-8 Elite, what setting do I put on the mask setting feature?
(3) Slightly OT, but they sent me replacement filters but the filters are for the S7. I thought that the S7 and the S8 used different filters, am I mistaken? They sell both on cpap.com and they have different model numbers.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
p.s. I had posted a few weeks ago debating on whether or not to get the Comfort Curve and had some good responses. To my surprise my DME told me I had 10 days to try it out and if I don't like it they'll switch me out to another mask. Funny, they never told me that before. I'm determined to give the CC every chance I can to make it work.

Re: Comfort Curve and Resmed S8 questions
I use the foam pads. The silicone rubber pads left bruises on my cheekbones. The foam pads don't. I was originally concerned about the life of the foam pads, but I've been using the same foam pads for well over six months now. The deal with the foam pads is that they'll last much longer if you rotate them so that they compress more evenly.SleeplessInVirginia wrote:(1) There were rubber covers on the cheek pads, and 2 sets of blue foam rubber pads on a punch out sheet. Regards,
Bill
