How do I get my sister to resume CPAP therapy? She actually started before I did, and now won't use her machine because she's afraid she won't hear her 5 year old son who sleeps in the next room in the night.

So being sleep deprived and dying sooner are preferable to her CPAP?
Buy her some baby monitors if it's really that much of a concern. My guess is that you haven't been told the real reason she's not using it.
