Encore Pro and REMStar Pro

Post by RC » Fri Feb 23, 2007 10:58 am

I checked the forums and couldn't find the answer.

What functionality does Encore Pro have with the REMStar Pro? Not the Pro 2 but the Pro. From all the comments it looks like there are a lot of Pro 2's out there but not so many Pro's.

Anyway I just wanted to know if all I'll get from the software is compliance information (which I already know) or if it'll show me what's really happening while I'm sleeping.

Thanks in advance.

The old "Pro" model (which was discontinued in April of '05), only gives compliance information......hours slept. No detailed sleep data.......sorry.

As Den said, the old Pro doesn't show detailed sleep data.

If you are considering getting a new machine -- you could get the Pro 2 or the Auto (not the M series ones), and you could use your current humidifier with either of those.

Both the Pro 2 and the Auto (classic styles), are being phased out with the new M series versions. Now would be the time to get one.

Rats, I was afraid of that. I just ordered the software and card reader from cpap.com yesterday. Oh well, I'll just have to pick up an Auto so I can use the software

You're not fooling me, you wanted a reason. Jim

RC,

If your "Pro" is still in good working order, keep it for a backup or traveling machine.
If you can validate the effectiveness of your therapy with a Pro 2 or Auto, there's nothing wrong with having a spare. Many of us do have spare machines.

Best wishes,

Den
