How do you find a good DME/Lab?

my sleep study lab was great. i got hooked up with Lincaire in my area and was totally unsatisfied with them. i got the yellow pages online and looked for respiratory companies. i sent out e-mails and got 1 or 2 replies.
if they send out a technician to your home to fit you then this might be an indicator that they care about the patient also. watch out for auto-delivery, it will drain your DME medical coverage in a heartbeat.
I wouldn't use a publicly traded company because they have to satisfy their stock holders which means they put it to people like us who are seeking a company who are people orientated.

I've been on CPAP since Nov '05 and I have yet to find a good(even decent DME) In Vegas it seems there are 2 types of DME companies; BAD and WORSE!
I order my filters and masks from cpap.com-their customer service reps are awesome and I've always received my order in 2-3 days after ordering. They won my loyalty very early on.

Thank you all for your advice, especially specific hardware recommendations. I'm going to call my health care provider tomorrow and see what sleep labs/DMEs I can go to. Clearly I need to get tested again to see what my numbers should be today.
