HELP!!! Has anyone encountered the following error message on start-up of Encore Pro 1.6. I have not changed anything since the last run of the program a few days ago. I'm stumped.

An unexpected component "mscomctl.ocx" or one of its dependencies not correctly registered. A file is missing or invalid error has occurred in Encore Pro. 1 errors were logged. I copied the following from the error log

02-15-2007 21:16:38 - start FailSafe client v6.6 (for Visual Basic 5.0 and 6.0) data capture
*****************************************************************
C:\Program Files\Respironics\Encore Pro\EncorePro ver 1.6.22

I have tried to use the repair utility that is provide with Encore and then finally resorted to uninstalling and re-installing but still keep getting the same problem.

Can anyone offer some assistance? I would greatly appreciate it.

At the Windows command prompt try typing "regsvr32 mscomctl.ocx" and see if that fixes your problem.
