Request for OSCAR advice/interpretation, etc.

Post by Amishboy51 » Fri Dec 05, 2025 2:04 pm

I'm continuing to have questions about my CPAP results, so I wondered if some folks could offer their thoughts.

Basically, I continue to feel sleepy during the day, and I can doze off even in the a.m. while reading or watching TV, despite using a stimulant (Sunosi) that my doctor prescribes. I know that the My Air app is limited, but it continually shows a significant leak; typically, my daily scores are in the low 90s, due to air leak.

So, thanks in advance for any thoughts, ideas, etc.

1. Your leak is not so high, but it is often. Does it awaken you? Do you get dry mouth?

2. Are you still using a nasal mask (N20)?

3. Do you wake up often? A side effect of Sunosi is problems sleeping.

4. I would like to zoom in on your flow line. Can you use SleepHQ.com to post their analysis?

<t>First, thank you for your reply, SG.<br/>

1. No, I don’t awaken very often (at least not that I’m aware of), but, yes, I usually have dry mouth, even when I wake during the night.<br/>
<br/>
2. Yes, I still use the N20 (although I’ve switched cushions, from the AirFit to the AirTouch)<br/>
<br/>
3. No, I’m not aware of waking up often (aside from using the bathroom once or twice nightly). I’ve probably been on Sunosi for a couple years now, and before that Armodafanil.<br/>
<br/>
4. Sorry, although I wasn't previously aware of SleepHQ.com, I managed to install it, but I had to give up after trying for at least an hour to upload my files.</t>

This is an indication that you are leaking air through the mouth. It could be happening where you see the high leak on the graph. This needs to be dealt with because it could also be having a negative impact on your CPAP therapy. Some solutions are a full face mask, taping the lips, wearing a foam cervical collar, training the tongue to stay on the roof of the mouth, and others. Members here should be able to offer advice.

To be picayune, it's not installed on your device. It resides on the SleepHQ servers.

If you are able to drag the three or four required folders into the SleepHQ site, don't do the full import. Take the shortcut. If I remember correctly, it's 30 days of data and will import more quickly.

Thank you again for the reply.

I was able to open a free Sleephq.com account, and finally figured out how to locate my files. But after dragging & dropping several files (Settings, Datalog, etc.) into the box, everything just stopped when I tried to import them.

But I’ll try to find the shortcut and import them without doing the full import.

Thank you. I wanted to let you know that I wasn't ghosting you.

The video was helpful, but, even after creating zip files, I still couldn't get beyond 30% when trying to upload. So I'm waiting to hear back from customer support.

I don't understand. It's so simple - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/dP6ITyChLyo

Where do zip files come in?

Did you select "Quick upload for 30 days of data". This is recommended to avoid long upload times when there are many days that have never been imported.
