I actually find the adhesive on 3M micropore paper too strong.
If I don't drool, I need to use baby oil in order to remove the tape. Did it for years.
I've switched to using 3M Micropore Skin Friendly Silicone Medical Tape - not sure I would describe it as thin, and yes, drooling may loosen it so I have to make sure it's taped "just so" - but when I get it right and it sticks, removing it is easier.
Another tape I've tried is "Smith and Nephew/BSN Cover-Roll Stretch - 2" x 10 Yards - Hypoallergenic" . It's thin and flexible and the adhesive a bit firmer than the 3M silicon. Switched to 3M Slilcon because of the price of delivery for where I live. I use water to loosen the Cover Roll - and it too isn't "drool proof". But it's good.
And now here is my secret, a very simple secret; it is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.
