And translation of original without cpap sleep analysis :
Summary – Polysomnography 16/01/2020
Main Diagnosis:
Moderate obstructive hypopneic sleep apnea syndrome (OHSAS)
Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI): 24/hour (27/hour including flow limitations)
Predominantly obstructive hypopneas
Arousal-inducing but non-desaturating (mean SpO₂ 92%, minimum 89%, no time < 90%)
Sleep Quality & Structure:
TST: 6h00 / TSP: 7h22 (efficiency 81%)
Stage distribution: N1: 0.6% – N2: 57.4% – N3: 30.2% – REM: 11.8%
Sleep onset latency: 164 min (very delayed)
REM latency: 216 min
Micro-arousals: 185 total (31/hour, normal < 20/hour)
Intra-sleep awakenings: 19 (> 30 s, total 82 min awake during sleep)
Respiratory Findings:
Apneas: 15 (2/hour) — mostly obstructive
Hypopneas: 127 (21/hour) — majority obstructive
Flow limitations: 185 (31/hour)
Supine AHI: 32/hour
Oxygen Saturation:
Mean: 92%
Minimum: 89%
No time below 90%
Other Findings:
Snoring: present 37% of TST, average intensity 87 dB
Heart rate: mean 63 bpm, sinus rhythm, min 49 bpm, max 106 bpm
PLMs: 147 total (12/hour), none during sleep
Conclusion & Recommendations:
Moderate OHSAS with significant sleep fragmentation from frequent respiratory events and micro-arousals.
Suggest management with CPAP or mandibular advancement device.
Avoid evening alcohol and muscle relaxants.
Maintain healthy body weight.
Still struggling with cpap ASV
Re: Still struggling with cpap ASV
OK, 2 things:
1. Trying to fix your issues with an ASV machine is absolutely absurd (fr. absolument absurde).
2. Even if by some convoluted, bizarre rationale whereby someone would argue that ASV might offer some benefit, the settings chosen are complete nonsense.
