Hi everyone,
I'm new to CPAPtalk and just beginning my journey with CPAP therapy. I was recently prescribed a machine, but I’m still trying to understand how everything works – from choosing the right mask to adjusting settings and handling side effects like dry mouth and discomfort.
I’d really appreciate any tips, advice, or beginner guides you can share. What helped you most when you were starting out? Also, are there any must-read threads or recommended products for beginners?
Thanks in advance – looking forward to learning from you all.

please start by reading the following-
viewtopic/t172378/StickyIf-you-want-CPA ... Gquot.html
that post is at the top of the page in what is labeled "announcements". there's plenty of good info to read there to get you started.
bare in mind, there is some old info there and some links could be broken.
good luck!

If you were prescribed a machine, it should have come set to your doctors prescription for settings.moe313 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 04, 2025 4:53 amHi everyone,
